Matt explained that “Ikie Lu” honors his grandmother, Ida Louise (Newton) Todd, a woman remembered for her love of music, hospitality, and bringing people together. Known affectionately as “Ike,” which later became “Ikie Lu,” she played music, entertained friends and family, and created memorable experiences centered around good food, good company, and great music.

The conversation highlighted the restaurant’s goal of creating a welcoming and tasteful environment where people can gather to enjoy food, drinks, friendship, and music in a way that honors Ida Louise’s legacy.
